Formerly the owner of his own, full-service real estate brokerage firm in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Mayer has also served as Senior Vice President of the Prudential Real Estate Affiliates and as Senior Vice President of Fred Sands REALTOR®, which was the fifth largest independent brokerage company in the United States. 

Mr. Mayer is past President and Chairman of the Board of the former REALTORS® National Marketing Institute and past President of the CRB Council, as well as past member of the RNMI Board of Directors and Management Team.  Realtor® Mayer is a past president of the Cincinnati Board of Realtors and has chaired or served on almost all the committees on the local and state level.  He is a past chairman of the NAR Education Coordinating Committee and has served on the Executive Committee, as well as being a NAR Director. 

Mr. Mayer has been honored as both Cincinnati and Ohio Associate and REALTOR® of the Year.  In 1986, has was honored with Instructor of the Year for Large States by the National Association of Realtors® and was presented with the first Golden Eagle Award for the outstanding Instructor of the CRB faculty.  In 1989, he was awarded Educator of the Year by National Association of Realtors®.  He also holds Master Instructor status on the CRB Council.  He was technical advisor of an early edition of the book, Real Estate Office Management: People, Functions and Systems and editor of the book, Reading in Management for the Real Estate Executive.  He has spoken in all 50 states, as well as seven foreign countries, including being the keynote speaker at three FIABCI (International Real Estate) conferences and has served as a consultant and a coach to real estate firms throughout the world.
