Designation overview

This overview was created to provide a synopsis of the Program Requirements. All Candidates are subject to the full CRB Designation Program Requirements. A copy will be provided upon acceptance of Candidate application.

Core requirements

  • Submit Candidate Application accompanied by documentation, non-refundable application fee, and required dues.
  • Hold and maintain membership in the National Association of Realtors® as a REALTOR® or REALTOR®-ASSOCIATE.
  • Have at least one (1) year management experience industry prior to designation (may be obtained while a Candidate) and submit a management resume outlining this experience.
  • Earn twelve (12) credits within four years of application.

Qualifying real estate related management experience

Qualifying real estate related management experience is defined as being directly responsible for the management of a real estate business as an owner, broker, active principal, or as having functioned as a supervisor of one or more individuals (including assistants) and/or other real estate business management functions within a real estate brokerage office. Management resume

Must be submitted on company letterhead and include the signature of the current Principal Broker, a list of all management position(s)/title(s) held (indicate ownership/partnership), number of years spent in position(s), and employment dates in position(s) from month/year to month/year.

Traditional or Accelerated Program

  • Traditional Program: 1-5 Years of Management Experience - 1 Credit
  • CRB Course Requirement: Attend three (3) CRB Courses

  • Accelerated Progam: 6+ Years of Management Experience - 4 Credits
  • CRB Course Requirement: Attend two (2) CRB Courses

Earned Credits Requirement

A maximum of two (2) credits may be applied

  • 10+ Years of Management Expereience - 2 Credits
  • Additional CRB Course Attendance - 2 Credits
  • Approved Elective Credits - 1 Credit per & 2 Credit Maximum
  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD -1 Credit Maximum
  • Select NAR Designations - 1 Credit per & 2 Credit Maxium
