Marketing. That's a word that encompasses so much it can be overwhelming. Just what do brokers and owners need to focus on when it comes to marketing themselves and their businesses? What is important for potential clients to know and what can simply be left off a brochure? Is less really more?

In this issue of Real Estate Business, we examine several aspects of marketing to help narrow your focus and provide inspiration for your own creative marketing techniques. In his feature Is Personal Branding Dead?, author Marcus Schaller explains that a true personal brand begins with understanding the problems that buyers and sellers face and then communicating a specific solution to one of those problems. Schaller believes it's not your headshot a client will remember but rather the service you can provide.
