Avoid Technology Tie-Ups

10 Tips to Help Keep Brokers and Agents Up and Running
Brokerages and real estate agents use technology every day. Of course, that technology works best when it's transparent to the operation. If used incorrectly, technology can cause problems. When dealing with technology, watch out for the following mistakes.
1) Don't call your own toll-free number from your cell phone. When you do, you are actually paying for the call twice: the minutes used on your cell phone and the charges from your toll-free provider.
2) Refrain from using generic voice mail greetings. The person trying to reach you wants to feel like your most important caller. Let your caller know your approximate schedule and the estimated time period in which you may be returning his or her call.
