Watching Consumer Trends This Spring

Ginny Shipe Ginny Shipe, CAE, CEO, Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers

As we usher in spring with more sunshine — a welcome sight here in the Windy City — bright blooms and, we hope, a busier real estate season, experts' predictions will no doubt assail us. From fashion to finance, it seems everywhere we turn each spring, someone is telling us what the next "hot" look or stock might be.

Not to be left out in the cold, Real Estate Business wanted to know what industry experts see in real estate's immediate future. Writer Linda Erbele shares the opinions and advice of several respected real estate authorities about consumer trends and how they may affect our business. Whether the trends emerge in your local market remains to be seen, but we hope you'll gain something valuable from their insight to use in your brokerage.
