A Failure to Communicate
Brokers and agents must keep lines of communication open.

It’s no secret these are challenging times in residential real estate. After years of unprecedented activity, a combination of factors has significantly slowed the housing market over the last 24 months.

No single management strategy will magically reverse the headwinds we currently face, but metaphorically speaking, our ships will sail more surely and safely through these difficult conditions if everyone aboard is communicating effectively.

One benefit of working with 160 independently owned RE/MAX offices on a daily basis is that I can observe experienced managers and broker/owners employing a wide range of styles and strategies. In today’s market, successful managers stress the value of agent-client and agent-to-agent contact, as well as the importance of communication between themselves and their agents.
